Privacy, in plain English.

We know privacy policies are usually walls of legal text nobody reads. This one is different. We'll tell you exactly what we collect, what we don't, and why.

What we don't do

Let's start here, because it matters most.

  • We don't use cookies
  • We don't run Google Analytics or any tracking scripts
  • We don't sell your data to anyone, ever
  • We don't track your browsing behavior
  • We don't use tracking pixels in emails
  • We don't share your information with third parties
  • We don't require accounts to use our tools

What we do collect

We collect as little as possible, and only when you choose to give it to us.

  • If you sign up for app launch notifications: your email address and which app you signed up for. That's it.
  • If you email us: your email address and whatever you wrote to us.

Cloudflare processes requests to serve our pages — that's standard CDN infrastructure. They don't store your personal data and no cookies are set.

SHIFT app data

SHIFT is built with a local-first architecture. Everything stays on your device.

  • We never see your nervous system state selections, usage patterns, or any personal data
  • Your data lives on your phone, not on our servers
  • If you delete the app, your data is gone. We don't have a copy.

When you're using a tool for nervous system regulation, you're in a vulnerable state. That's exactly why we designed SHIFT to never touch a server. Your inner world is yours.

Where data is stored

  • Our servers are hosted by Hetzner in Germany, subject to strict EU/GDPR data protection laws
  • Email addresses (if you signed up for notifications) are stored on these servers
  • We don't use US-based cloud services for personal data storage

Your rights

You have full control over any data you've given us.

  • You can ask us to delete your data at any time
  • Email [email protected] — we'll handle it within 24 hours
  • You can unsubscribe from any emails with one click

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page. We won't bury the changes — if something meaningful shifts, we'll say so plainly.
